けれども真理の御霊が来る時には、あなたがたをあらゆる真理に導いてくれるであろう。それは自分から語るのではなく、その聞くところを語り、きたるべき事をあなたがたに知らせるであろう。（ヨハネ一六・13）
聖霊はご自身のことを語りません。キリストご自身と私たちを結びつけるために、キリストの賜物として私たちのもとに来られるのです。聖霊はすべての真理に私たちを導いてくださいます。真理であるキリストのうちへと導いてくださいます。ヨハネはこう記しています。 しかし、あなたがたは聖なる者に油を注がれているので、あなたがたすべてが、そのことを知っている。……あなたがたのうちには、キリストからいただいた油がとどまっているので、だれにも教えてもらう必要はない。この油が、すべてのことをあなたがたに教える。それはまことであって、偽りではないから、その油が教えたように、あなたがたは彼のうちにとどまっていなさい。（第一ヨハネ二・20、27）
油注がれる方とは人格をお持ちの聖霊のことです。聖霊は真理の弁護者であり保護者です。単なる命題上の真理でなく、真理である方の栄光の保護者です。私たちの心もたましいも意思も願いも、すべてキリストの霊と一つとなるように、聖霊は私たちのすべてを捕らえようとされます。私たちが完全に神に支配されるとき、すべての権能が与えられていると宣言されたイエスの権威が聖霊を通して私たちのうちに働くのです。
luke 11:9 – 13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13
The Spirit does not speak of himself. He comes to us as Christ’s gift to link us to Christ himself. He is the one who guides us into all truth, even into him who is truth. So John can say: You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things…But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him (1 John 2:20, 27 NKJV). That anointing is a person, the Holy Spirit. He is the Protector and Guardian of truth, not just of theological truth, but of the glory of him who is the Truth. When our spirit and purposes are one with those of the Spirit of Christ, then our full potential is realized. When we are fully controlled by God, then the very authority of Jesus, who declared that all authority had been given to him, is present and at work in us through the Holy Spirit.
